Faith Mary Moore

Director of Community Services


Faith Mary began working in Addictions Treatment in 1982, at Benjamin Rush’s newly opened adolescent unit. In 1984, she moved to the Chemical Abuse Recovery Services (CARES) where she remained until accepting a position with the newly opened Chemical Abuse Program Services (CAPS) at Syracuse Community Health Center as a Primary Counselor. Ms. Moore next worked for NYS Department of Corrections at Marcy Correctional Facility, in Marcy, NY, and remained there until joining the staff at Tully Hill, in 1991.

Awards/Recognitions 

Prevention Network -“Unsung Hero- 1997;”

Southwest Community Center “Service & Support to the Recovering Community”- P.R.I.D.E. Program 1999;

Central NY Girl Scout Council “Woman of Distinction - The World of Well-Being,” 1998;

NYS OASAS Prevention Credentialing Board Member; past NYS OASAS-Certified Community Mobilization Trainer.

She began working for Onondaga Council on Alcoholism and Addictions, Inc., (OCAA) as a Community Outreach Specialist, in 1994.  Faith Mary remains with Prevention Network as the Director of Community Services. In that position she coordinates the agency community lending library, Victim Impact Panel (VIP), and the Chemical People mini-grant.

She supervises staff coordinating Onondaga County Department of Social Services Assessment and Referral Services, professional training through OCAAT/CIT Onondaga Council on Alcoholism & Addictions Training (OCAAT) & the OASAS - 350 Clock Hour Counselor-In-Training (CIT); community education: Victim Impact Panel, Drinking Driver Program and more recently the newly formed CNY CASAC Networking Initiative. 

Faith Mary is also a part-time Community Development Specialist, with the NYS OASAS Prevention Resource Center - Western Quadrant located at Prevention Network. Ms. Moore graduated from Onondaga Community Communication College with an Associate’s Degree in Radio Television communication; she is a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and a New York State Credentialed Prevention Professional.
