Guide them in nurturing their own physical and emotional health.
Create ongoing dialogs, not "5-minute talks."
Hold family meetings where everyone is encouraged to have a voice and listen to each other.

Eat meals together as often as possible.
Don't hesitate to ask, "Who?" "What?" "Where?"

Allow your children freedom of thought and expression.
