Victim Impact Panel (VIP)

• VIP is held at the Onondaga County Justice Center, 555 S. State street, Syracuse, NY 13204. This is the city/county jail, a secure building.



• The Panel meets on the first and third Thursday of each month. Participants are recommended to confirm dates to avoid potential conflicts related to a recognized holiday.



• Participants are asked to arrive by 6:15 pm, and have a seat in the lobby until the VIP is announced. Participants will then be escorted to the panel location as a group. Late arrivals will not be admitted.



• A $25 fee will be collected by the VIP facilitator at the time of sign-in. Cash or a certified check or money order payable to: STOP-DWI is acceptable. Personal checks are NOT accepted.

 

• Participants must bring photo ID to confirm their personal identity.

• Sessions last a minimum of 1.5 hours beginning after the facilitator has registered all eligible individuals.



• Participants are responsible for bringing a pen to complete paperwork. Certificates of Attendance will be handed out to each eligible participant upon completion of the session.



• NOTE: VIP is cancelled when Onondaga County issues a State of Emergency warning and roads are closed.
