Central New York Alcohol and Drug Association

Our mission is to provide a forum to articulate common concerns, share information, and to provide advocacy for the populations we serve, promoting positive change within the chemicals dependency prevention, intervention and treatment services delivery. 

The Central New York Alcohol and Drug Association consists of prevention, treatment, and recovery providers in the field of chemical dependency prevention, intervention and treatment services delivery systems. Members are based in (or reside in) the Central New York Area who have primary identification with those issues and concerns common to the Central New York Area.  To ensure the ongoing provisions of quality chemical dependency services through the coordination and provision of training and technical assistance.

  • To provide city, county, state and federal government bodies and community planning organizations with clear, direct and constructive input and to advise these entities on issues which may significantly impact the planning, development and delivery of services in the field of chemical dependency.
  • To provide the above mentioned bodies, as well as, the members of this organization an means of direct dissemination and sharing of information.
  • To provide each participant with a forum for communication, support and cooperation.
  • To facilitate the building of partnerships with the community and other service providers.

Membership is available to addiction-related organizations and current/retired/student addiction professionals.

The Central New York Alcohol and Drug Association (CNYADA) meets every other month in Central New York.  Meeting are open to current and retired addiction professionals and students.
